THE RETURN OF THE BAND MUSICIAN , a one-act play. (Translated from the original Tagalog/Pilipino play, "Ang Pagbabalik ng Musikero," 3rd Prizewinner, Palanca Playwriting Contest, 1977. A reading of the English translation of the play -- The Return of the Band Musician -- was presented at the State University of Iowa, Iowa City (USA), when the author participated, as official Philippine representative, in the Iowa International Writing Program in 1988. The Writing Program is an annual event sponsored by the United States Information Service (USIS) and the Iowa State University, and participated in by writers (poets, playwrights, fiction writers) from various countries all over-- from Asia,Africa, Latin America, Europe.

This is the same lwork, for which I composed a theme song, entitled" Pagbabalik ng Musikero," played live in various performances of the play.
